The World’s Oldest Restaurant

With over 280 years to perfect the menu, the house special at the oldest restaurant in the world must be pretty special, or at least that’s the word on the street regarding the suckling pig at Casa Botín. Open since 1725, this Madrid fixture has fed heads of state and world-renowned celebrities. The restaurant has also served as a setting in works by Benito Pérez Galdós, Graham Greene, James A. Michener, and Ernest Hemingway.
